On Thursday 11 April, 8 girls from the senior class had a trip into St Brendan’s Park FC. They were taking part in the FAI primary schools 5-A-Side soccer tournament. It was fantastic to see how eager they all were to join in. They played 4 matches of 8
mins a side against similar sized schools. There was the usual scramble for places, everyone wanting to play mid and up front. Coaches Suzanna and Katrina were delighted with all the girls effort and competitive spirit. They were very impressed with the way they all conducted themselves representing the school. Saoirse, Ava, Sinead, Lucy, Lily, Sharon, Keelin and Sarah all put in great performances. It was a pity the games were so short. They would have played all day. All looking forward to getting out to play again.
